The Fox and the Wild Geese

The jungle had grown cold and the fox was hopelessly looking for prey because all the birds had migrated to warmer regions. One evening several migrating geese arrived near a pond to rest the night. The fox built a small barge with a tree trunk, hid inside thorns and sailed to the geese. He made several attempts to catch the geese but failed. In his last attempt he caught a goose but the wounded goose shrieked and alarmed the rest. The geese attacked the fox and drove him away.
