Sepandarmaz
Earth
possessed lofty mountains, wide plains, big rivers and wide seas and
oceans well Sepandarmaz, a guardian angel that protected earth. Sepandarmaz
was kind to the plains, to the mountain, to the birds and to the people
and hated war among men. She gave the herds green fields to graze, dug
paths for rivers and took care of the earth and her inhabitants. Afrasiab,
a wicked king, marched to Iran to conquer the country. Sepandarmaz encouraged
King Manoochehr to fight back and she sent Arash, the Archer, to help
him in the battle. Manoochehr was fighting bravely and desperately in
Gorgan Plain with the enemy but he couldn't defeat Afrasiab, who had
many soldiers. Furious against Afrasiab Sepandarmaz ordered Miankooh
Mountain to quake. The mountain jolted, crashed and killed many enemy
soldiers and peace returned to earth.
