Short-legged Sandpiper
Sandpipers
lived near a swamp and ate crumbs of meat between the crocodile's teeth.
Black Belly jumped on the crocodile' snout before she was asleep to
dine. While she was pecking at her teeth the crocodile yawned and Black
Belly jumped into her mouth. But she closed her mouth and Black Belly
was about to die. The sandpipers were all alarmed but feared to approach
her. Brave Short-legged Sandpiper jumped on her nose and tickled her
nostrils with her wing. The crocodile sneezed and threw out Black Belly
out of her mouth.
