Abraham
|
Abraham TNimrod dreams about a young man who destroys his kingdom. He orders all male children to be killed. Abraham's mother hides him in a cave for thirteen years until Nimrod forgets his threat. Abraham worships God and hates idols and is appointed by God to teach the people to worship him instead of dead statues. One day the inhabitants of Babylon walk out of the city to attend a festival. Abraham forges an excuse to stay behind. He goes to Nimord's temple and shatters all the idols. Furious with Abraham, Nimrod makes a big fire and throws Abraham into it. But angels save Abraham from death and the people are convinced that Abraham's God is the true God and idols have no power to save themselves even. Abraham is exiled by Nimrod. |
