The Little Violet

A little Violet was sleeping under the ground together with other flowers waiting for the spring to come, to grow again. But in the middle of the winter, she woke up and could not sleep any longer. She wanted to see the spring before all the others. So, she decided to go with the wind to the lands behind the purple mountains. But when she faced the horrible floods and bitter cold of the ending days of the winter, which threatened her life, she changed her mind. She managed to save herself with the help of a goat's-thorn. The wind carried her back to her place again, where she slept till the spring time. When the spring came, she woke up like all the other flowers to make the earth colorful with her beauty.
