The Blue Tree
Nastaran
had come to live with her grandmother so that she could attend her school
easily. She told her classmates about the blue tree in her granny's
yard, but they laughed at her and nobody believed her. When she fell
ill at home, her teacher came to see her and saw the tree. It was a
painted tree and the birds sitting on it were talking of a tree the
leaves of which could make the blind see and also make Nastaran friends
with her classmates.
