What Do Dandelions Do?A dandelion was carried away by a soft breeze. She visited different places and delivered many messages. She was saved from drawning and other accidents. After she met a poet who composed a pretty poem for her, she found the real meaning of her life. Mrs. Apple and Mr. Watermelon Shahpari wonders what would happen if everything was put upside down. Her doll bear tells her to change the place of objects in her mind and paint them. She put the slide in the sky and the rainbow in the park. She imagines her dad as a groom and her mom as a bride. What if a giraffe neck was changed into wardrobe? What if train wagons were playmates for bears and birds walked on the rail or the cat flew in they sky? What the watermelon would yield if it were grafted to the apple? The answer to these questions was strange and Shahpari paints the strange images. The Flying FishA small colorful fish lived with his grandpa in the sea. The grandpa had a dagger and all the day he tore the nets lay by fishermen and rescued trapped fish. One day the dying grandpa gave the dagger to him and made him promise to save trapped fish. The small fish had a big wish to fly. One day he rescued a big turtle. The turtle presented him with wings and he was able to fly. He flew to the sky and saw many fish caught by fishermen. Pitying their plight the small fish returned to the sea and started cutting the nets. I Wish A small boy had many wishes. He wished he had ten mothers; he wished to have more ice cream, to change his size and to travel all the time. He wished he would grow big soon to tell folk what to do. He wished daddy had a bicycle instead of a car to drive him at the front. He wished his mom and dad had twenty brothers and sisters so that he could receive many gifts during New Year holidays, but any one wish came true, having a plate full of strawberries. Asleep and Awake At midnight Mahan, the merchant, was called to the gate. A stranger told him he had gained good profit from trade and asked him to follow him. They walked into a desert but the stranger disappeared. He was hungry and thirsty. A woman and a man promised to return Mahan to his hometown but they also disappeared. Mahan was deceived by other demons as well and wandered many days in the desert until he reached a pretty garden owned by witches. In the end Prophet Khizr came to his rescue and took him to his hometown. The Epic of SiavooshSiavoosh, son of King Keykavus was a noble prince. His mother - in -law fell in love with him but Siavoosh drove her away. Angered, she told Keykavus that Siavosh was a traitor. Keykavus threw Siavoosh into a big fire to see if he was guilty or innocent. He dashed boldly into the fire and survived unharmed. Afrasiab, the Turanian king, marched into Iran. Siavoosh battled with Afrasiab and defeated his army. He built a magnificent town in the border between Iran and Turan, married Afrasiab's daughter and tried to keep peace between the two countries. Afrasiab dreamed that Siavoosh was destroying his kingdom. He marched against Siavoosh at the head of a big army. Siavoosh fought boldly with his small army but was innocently slain. Sweeter than Honey Several thousands years had passed. The creatures on earth didn't look like human beings but were very intelligent. One day they discovered a frozen little boy. When the ice melted the boy said he was a computer that looked like a boy and asked for his mom. They said thousand years had expired since he had frozen and nobody was alive on earth. But he insisted to go to his mom. They said he would become a real boy and mortal if he return to his mom but he insisted to go. He preferred to see his mother one more time and die, ruther than to live for ever. Farshid Farshid's father was a labourer in the Sheikdoms. He had broken his hand and wanted to take Farshid to the Sheikdoms to work. Farshid was a clever student and didn't want to go. He was frail and sickly. He asked his brother to stop the father from taking him out of school. His brother was working and earning bread for the family. He protested to his father and promised to cover Farshid's school expenses. It Is A Pity That! ... A boy complained to his mom saying it was a pity that his balloon had burst, his shirt had grown small, his stocking was torn or the rain had stopped. He said it was a pity his tooth was loose, the sun was hidden behind the cloud, the night had arrived andhe had to sleep. He was sorry that his mom would become old. The boy made many such complaints but his mom gave him appropriate and soothing answers and eased his childish woes. The Teacher and the Painter Ghazaleh painted a strange painting in the classroom. She painted a bird that resembled no bird, a sun that resembled not a real sun and a house that resembled not a real house. The teacher quarreled with Ghazaleh. She said her painting didn't reflect real life and wrote a note to her parents and complained about Ghazaleh's bad painting. That night a famous painter happened to be their guest. He looked carefully at Ghazaleh's painting. Instead of finding fault with it he said it was an excellent performance. Parinaz or Nazpari Parinaz who was dissatisfied with her life, found a golden pair of shoes in their street. The magic shoes carried her to a beautiful palace when she wore them. She was treated as a princess in the palace. She enjoyed every comfort and luxury in the palace but no love from her parents. In the evening she had a big wish to return to her humble house and help her mom and dad. What is Eaten at a Wedding? Mamali wanted to go to the wedding party but her parents wouldn't take him. His grandpa stayed behind so that he wouldn't feel alone. Mamali asked the chicken, the rooster, the goat, the sheep, the cow, the donkey and the horse what would they eat if they were invited to the wedding party. Each animal had a different answer but they all showed him their loves. Even grandpa preferred to eat his grief! They started a party of their own. Under the Blue Dome A little sparrow was very fond of stories, but her mother was too tired and sleepy in the evenings to tell her tales. When the sparrow learned to fly she built a nest elsewhere. The sky told her that she was a blue dome rather than a grey dome and asked her to tell storytellers to correct that sentence when they start their stories and get a prize. The sparrow went to storytellers and learned to be a good storyteller herself, but never got the prize. The Song Village All the people used to sing in the Song Village when they ploughed the ground, sprayed the seed or harvested their crops. But Wolf - Ali who had dwelt with wolves sang like wolves and attracted wolves to the village. The elders decided to feed Wolf - Ali all the time so that he would forget to sing. Love - Ali attended Wolf - Ali and sung sweet songs all the time. One night the wolves attacked the village. Wolf - Ali sung a strange sweet song and scared the wolves away. The Furious Snake Morad was poor. He had lost his farm and was working for others. One day he visited a cave in the mountain and saw a gray snake. He fed the snake and the snake gave him a gold coin. Next day he again visited the cave and received another gold coin from the snake. On another day he took medical herbs to the town and sold them. Then he went to the cave and throws the snake that had frozen from cold into his bag and closed the mouth. When the snake was warm enough he was furious with the herbs. He jumped out of the bag and stung Morad and his donkey. The donkey died but Morad didn't die. A hunter patched his wound. He gave him a farm and told him to attend to farming instead of fortune hunting. ElijahProphet Elijah preached divine worship and cursed idol worshippers. The son of the king of Heliopolis was very ill. Nobody could cure him. The king sent an army to the mountain to bring Elijah to cure his son. Elijah sent fire and burnt the army. The king sent another detachment along with Elijah's followers. Elijah returned to Heliopolis but the prince had died. The angry king decided to kill the prophet. Elijah and his companions escaped from the city and the king killed some of his companions. Elijah cursed the heathen king. An enemy attacked Heliopolis and defeated and destroyed the king. After that the people suffered from extreme famine. They attacked Baal, the grand idol, and shattered it. Elijah returned to Heliopolis. The people welcomed his faith and Elijah prayed for them. Rain fell abundant and rivers swelled with water. The people thanked God for his blessings. The Fairy of DreamsSepideh who was living in an orphanage felt lonely and abandoned. The Fairy of Dreams told her she possessed a precious treasure and asked her to protect it. Sepideh woke up and searched everywhere but couldn't find the treasure. In the dark she slipped and fell down from the stairs and broke her leg. She was taken to the hospital and her leg was bandaged. Then she understood that her biggest treasure was her health. JungleThe wind tossed a little boy's painting outside the house. All the colours were angry because they had been drenched in the rain. But the brown colour said they could make a jungle if they helped each other. The colours joined each other with the help of raindrops and painted trees and flowers beside the paper. The clouds moving above rained over the painted jungle. Next day the little boy saw a small jungle beside his painting. Green, Blue, YellowGrandmother is blind but she can recognize every color from their smell. She addresses her grandchildren as Green Nadir, Green Nargess or Green Shireen. She always dreams about her childhood, the green trees, the blue sky and the golden sun. When Shireen walked to the window Grandmother remembered how she painted the window frame when she was a child. Her head hit the windowpane and her finger was wounded. The Adventurous FaceThe nose had caught a cold and was upset because he couldn't smell. The eyes wept, the mouth sneezed and the eyebrows frowned. All the body members wanted to help the sick nose. The legs carried the nose to the doctor and received medicine. The mouth drank the medicine for a couple of days, till the nose was cured and could smell again. WeddingA cock fell in love with a fox. The fox had very beautiful eyes and a pretty tail. The cock wholly lost his head. He went to the turkey and the goat and asked them to court the fox for him. They refused with much alarm. He asked the donkey to court the fox and the silly ass courted the fox for the cock. A wedding party was held but no hen or cock came. All foxes came and devoured the cock. Aunt, Dear Aunt, Kind DaddyA girl left her home and went to her aunt because she didn't want to marry her unborned nephew. Her aunt gave her two eggs. One egg gave birth to a hen, the other to a cock. The hen went to an old lady and the cock went to an old man. She asked the old lady to deliver the hen. She said the hen had laid eggs but they were stolen by a demon. The girl went to the old man and received wheat instead of her cock. I Love Pretty ColorsOne day a sparrow was alarmed to see that the blue colour of the sea, the green colour of jungle and the brown colour of mountain had disappeared. The sparrow saw soldiers marching and firing everywhere, but they were defeated by nature. The Pea-Shaped Boy Visits his Dad An old couple had no child until God favored them with a small son. He was as small as a pea and his mother named him Pea - Boy. The pea-shaped boy was strong and carried a big soup pail on his head to his father in the farm. In the marketplace the village folk were surprised to see a big pail moving by itself. They learnt that the old pair had a son. The old father was surprised to see the pea-shaped boy but thanked God for having a son. Three theives came to him and rented the Pea – B0y for two days. Three Mysterious Citrons A king lived with his beautiful daughter, but the princess caught a strange illness and nobody could cure her. An old doctor said three magic golden citrons brought by a virtuous man would cure the princess. The king proclaimed he would marry his daughter to the man who brought the citrons. Bahman, a poor youth, went to search for the citrons along with many others. He reached the distant orchard, picked up the citrons and treated an old woman with respect and received good directions. The princess ate the citrons and recovered her health and beauty, but the king was reluctant marry her to a poor peasant. Bahman performed several miracles and married the princess. The Tale of Golden Wing's Grief Golden Wing was a very pretty rooster with plumes looking like gold. His only fault was he didn't bath and wash himself. One day he fell ill and all his golden feathers dropped. The doctor ordered him to bath three times a day. After few days regular bathing and sunning his golden wings grew again. On the Highest MountainA boy wanted to fly to the highest mountain in Iran on his kite. His marvelous kite took him to a rooftop, then to a cypress tree and then to a very high tower. The kite flew higher and landed on Mount Damavand's summit. It was the highest point in Iran. The sky stood over his head like an azure blanket and the sun shone brilliantly. The winding towns and villages below looked like a rainbow. The Black Goat and the Palm TreeBlack Goat was strong as a bull and was the champion of mountain folk. Palm Tree was the tallest tree in the plain and was worshipped by the farmers. The two groups faught each other to replace one another. The goat and the palm tree were both injured. It was then that people realized how great was their loves and how small was their demand. See you in springA little bear played all the day with a rabbit and squirrel in the jungle. His friends said in winter the jungle was all white and very fine to play. The little bear decided to remain awake in the winter although his parents objected. When his parents fell into winter sleep he walked out of his nest. A thick snow had fallen. At first he was pleased with the scene, but then he felt very cold, hungry and sleepy. He couldn't find his nest either. The rabbit and the squirrel found the bear's warm nest and he slept beside his parents. Uncle Chain WeaverFor many years Uncle Chain Weaver used to weave chains of friendship for children. He lived in the mountain and loved all the children. The kids joked with uncle and he answered them with good humor. One day the old man didn't answer the kids. Worried and sad the children marched to his hut behind the mountain with gifts. They clasped each others' hands like chain. Uncle Chain Weaver was moved to see their friendship. Nobody was Alone Except GodThe man and woman were living alone on earth. God gave strength to the man to build a house and beauty and art to the woman to cheer the house and asked them to love each other. Angels brought seeds to them and the earth was full of trees and flowers. The woman bore a baby. The people multiplied and prayed God for his blessings. God was happy because nobody was alone except himself. The Giant WormHaftvad's daughter is living with her seven brothers in Gozaran. One day she finds a worm in an apple. She believes the worm would bring good luck and tries to make more money by working harder. Gradually as the worm grows big her family gain more money and power and become worm worshippers. They rebel against King Ardeshir and fight and defeat the king. Ardeshir finds his way into the fort with the help of friends under the guise of a rich merchant. He kills the giant worm and beats the worshipers of worm. Since then the people in the fort worship Almighty God only and region is named the land of Kerman. The Wisest of the WiseThe Queen of India did not want to obey King Anooshirvan of Iran. She sent a delegation to Iran with their invented chess and demanded the king to reveal the trick of the game otherwise India would not obey him. She is flying her balloon and manages to put the seven beautiful colors of rainbow together. Thus she creates her own rainbow by the real rainbow whenever it rains and the sun starts to shine. The Sin of GarshaspGarshasp was the strongest man on earth. Earth was warm by fire. The cattle grazed in green fields and people worked happily in farms. Hurricane Devil roared and destroyed everything except the fire that burnt on the mountaintop. But Garshasb was brave and fought and defeated Hurricane Devil and Earth blossomed again. These two told the fox that the hunter who had lost his cap had returned with a gun and would kill he who had stolen the cap. The fox retunred the cap to the bear. A Girl Called GolbaharGolbahar was the servant of a greedy landlord. Shahin was a young farmer who had a farm near her master's farm and loved her. But the landlord was greedy and wouldn't release her. Once he said she must plant pea seeds and grow beans instead. Another time he asked Golbahar to thresh all the popcorns in the warehouse within a night. The animals shifted the place of pea seeds in the farm and the piegons threshed the popcorns because they all loved Golbahar. She was freed and married to Shahin. Rain is FallingToo much rain had fallen and the ground in the jungle was all soaked. A little crow saw marks on the muddy ground. She followed the marks and found them to be the footprints of a lion, an elephant, a zebra, a rabbit, a squirrel, and... She had never seen footprints. Then she discovered her own footprint and taught the duckling to see her footprint too... Three BrothersTall Lord and Brave Lord were the elder brothers of Small Lord. When Small Lord grew into youth he continued to be called Small Lord. The three brothers went to a distant country to kill three demons and earn wealth. Small Lord surprised the three demons during dinner. They threw him into a room in the king's castle to fetch the princess for them. Small Lord killed the three demons. The chief guard said it was he who had killed the demons but Small Lord proved that he had been the real killer and married the fair princess. Spectacled Kid and Capped KidSpectacled Kid didn't like his glasses and Capped Kid hated his cap. They exchanged the glasses and cap and tried to play indoor games. Spectacled Kid couldn't see well and fell all the time. Capped Kid felt cold and sick. They couldn't play or watch the television. In the end they returned the glass and cap. Spectacled Kid could see well and Capped Kid felt no more chilly. They ran out and played in the snow with the children. Zarir, another Iranian knight was about to defeat the Touranian army when he was slain by an enemy warrior by trick. Nastoor, his young son, attacked the man and killed him and defeats the enemy. The bravest knight in the army always hoists the national flag. AtasayAtasay devoured a magic pill that made her invisible. The neighbour fed the sparrows in her absence, the shopkeeper remembered her but said others would buy from him. She met another girl called Atasay and another girl replaced her as a prefect in the school. In the evening her mother was crying for her loss. Atasay reappeared and made her mom happy. She realized that there was always others who would replace her if she is absent and never to her mom... The Mystery of TomorrowsVesta borrowed the mountain's white cap and became invisible. She went to the Light Garden to find the book of mystreies. She unlocked every gate and found the book in the chamber of mysteries but the book was very heavy and she could not take it away. The book had cure for every disease and information about everything. In the last page it was written that tomorrows belong to the children. The Loose BrickA wall has been built on a loose brick and crashes on a smaller wall. It is as if the little wall has been slapped and abused in front of friends by his daddy. He cries from pain and shame and complains to his daddy. But the whole thing was a misunderstanding. The daddy disdn't weant to her his son. It had simply crashed because it had been built over a loose brick. Hungry MazdakMazdak is voracious and is never full. He eats from morning until evening. His father takes him to the doctor but the doctor cannot help him. He eats the neighbour's breads and hurts everybody. One day he walks to the neighbouring walnut orchard. The owner asks him to count the walnuts and throw them into a bag. He promises to give him a magic nut if he doesn't eat. Mazdak practices restraint and is cured of his big appetite. EvergreenSarira was a little girl when she was forced to leave her grand parents to go abroad with her parents. Grand father promised to send her the evergreen tree which was loved by her. But this was impossible. Years passed and grand father was still thinking to find a solution. Finally, he started drawing an evergreen tree on a peice of paper. Very soon his evergreen was copied by all different artists and on all different materials. One day Sarira bought a bott of white silk fabric with evergreen design on it. She had received her own tree and she could smell grandfather's house again. Yusef and Zoleikha Zoleikha saw a man in her dreams and felt in love with him. This dream was repeated until she lost patience. She travelled to Egypt to find him and married there. Yusef was a beautiful boy loved by his father. His brothers threw him into a deep and dark well. He was saved by people passing by and was moved to Egypt. Zoleikha met him and asked for his love. When Yusef denied, she imprisoned him. Passing of a cloud This very morning something like a heavy cloud slowly entered the room and placed itself over the heart of Ladan. Her grandmother has felt the heavy cloud too. The bird said we know that heavy things too, but we turn it over to the wind and wind gives it to the sea and sea gives it to the fishes. Ladan said to the cloud ,“it is better to go to mountain”, cloud said , “if you help me and run after me until I fly I shall take it with me”. Ladan runs out . The bird said,“What a sunny weather and then Ladan did some painting and colouring with her brother and helped her mother with houseworking. Ladan feels better now, and that heavy cloud had no more place in her house. The Big Zero Once upon a time there were a Big Zero in a dictation book. Nobody liked the Big Zero, so he dceided to leave. He went to a drawing and colouring note book. The first page had a beautiful drawing of a scenery, but without a sun, therefore became its sun. In the next painting became the wing of a butterfly. The Big Zero continued his trip and became a nesting tree for a sparrow, a head for a shepherd, a clock on a blank wall, and a clown on a piggy bank. Now he was very happy, he had drawn many beautiful things. At last was the grade of his own drawing and became a big 20 which was the full mark. Amin Bird Once upon a time therewere a boy named Reza. He was dissatisfied with his life and everything. He wanted to be somthing and somebody else. One day he wished to be a dog so acted as a dog. Next day he wished to be a cherry tree, so stood in the garden and hanged a few cherries from his fingers and ears. Another day he wanted to fly like a bird, so he did and hurt himself. Next he was the sign door way of his school and when his mother came to fetch him, could not find reza. However after 3.1/2 days he changed to many different characters and at last he was like a two years old girl. That time he cried loudly and said ,” I want to be only Reza. was thinking about her strange dream, a little sick angel was on the
bed, and all the angels in the heaven had gathered around her. Roya
awok from her dream and looked at the sky and saw the stars. A star
was closer to her than the rest, Roya asked the star about the health
condition of the angel. The star said, “angels should be silvery or
golden, that angel is yellow”. Infact Roya was sick and was admitted
into a hospital and nothing much could be done for her. Razeih another
sick child was in the same hospital. The two girls came friend and
Roya spoke about her dream and the sick angel, and said we should think
about the angel and do something. Roya decided to give some of her
pills to angel.
Sometimes passed, a day arrived that Roya’s face was like the colour of moonlight and so innocent. She was thinking about the angel and the bright halls of the sky. The sheet around her was like a clould, the clould rised up slowly and went into the sky. Her parents started to cry. Roya heard the angel’s call, “Are you coming?” Roya was laughing and running after flowers. No more pain was hurting her. The Old Man and the Cloud

The cloud took the shape of Piran, like an old man with curly hair and a long beard. She was wondering what to prepare and asked the fox for his advice. He suggested to eat pheasant who was a good friend of the owl and made her angry. But he was planning to catch both the pheasant and the eagle. The owl found out and helped her friends. The fox was down hearted and embarrassed and left into the jungle. Apple Mother There was a pine tree next to an apple tree who wished to be a mother like the apple tree and have some apples. The apple tree did not give her even one apple. One night when a typhoon came, a little apple separated from her branch. The pine tree caught her and held her tight the whole night. Next morning the pine tree smelled of apple. She was only mother for one night. All the Quicker The little girl and her brother had come to live with their grandmother who had a big yard in her house. There were several trees in the yard and a white hen who laid eggs. The crow was used to get up earlier and take the eggs for her chicks. Grandmother bought a rooster to wake her up very early. She took the eggs but left some cheese and walnuts for the chicks. The Ghoul of Darkness The little boy was always scared of everything. He was nicknamed "Little Mouse". One night he decided to " change himself and became friends with the Ghoul of Darkness. The Ghoul helped him to get revenge from other kids and promised not to hurt the one who invites him. One night, he forgot to invite, the Ghoul and Ghoul was invited by another boy. The Ghoul came to him. Maybe..! One morning one of the fingurines started talking and told her that he wanted to be her son.
